Have to say its a whole load easier to getting under the 12/4 than it was ever with the Griff'. I just knew I would find an advantage to ownership of a 12/4:D

Yes laying under a car with 77 years of grease'n oil on her was sheer bliss, grease gun armed I attacked those lovely big nipples with a relish of enthusiasm :biglaugh:

So oiled up, polished and greased ready for Helmingham.

Was that during a "pit stop" on your way then? - as you should be a day into your Helmingham journey now!!

I went up Helmingham today and did a practice run up and down the drive

I wouldn't fancy getting up much speed on that surface, narrow, loose gravel and pretty bumpy!

They are just starting to put marquees up today.

You`ll be told to take it easy down the drive - at least one Ferrari nearly lost it last year!! But of course there were many high reving wheel spins, short blasts followed by quick shut downs due to the rather lumpy bump halfway down that caught out "Mr Nobles" (before it was his car) front splitter - much to the horror of the crowd! Watch my Helmingham video from last year and you`ll see and hear both of those runs!

Yes, looking at that drive I think 25mph is about as fast as most people will want to do.
