PHEA Run: Fish'n'Chip Run - Sunday 5th September

Hello everyone,

It's with tremendous pleasure I can announce the welcome return of a firm favourite to the PHEA Calendar - the annual pilgrimage to Aldeburgh to sample their lovely fish'n'chips driving on some great roads along the way
That's right, the Fish'n'Chip Run is back, this year's date being Sunday 5th September

All are welcome, no matter what they drive, 2 wheels or 4
This is traditionally one of the largest Runs of the PHEA year, so please join us


Run Details
There are the usual Three starting points you can choose from; Cambridge, Thetford or Stowmarket. The Cambridge and Thetford groups will drive cross country and meet up at Stowmarket and then we'll all drive onwards to Aldeburgh in small groups.
Route Maps and Instructions will be handed out on the day


Thetford Start Point
Southbound A11 BP Petrol Station, Thetford - MAP LINK HERE
Departure time - 8:30am

Cambridge Start Point
Tesco carpark (has petrol station) - MAP LINK HERE
Departure time - 8:30am
Led by Mark (MarkCSC)


We'll then drive to Stowmarket to meet everyone else at the Iliffe Way Car Park, opposite Asda.

Stowmarket Start Point

Departure time - 10:30am

After a short briefing, it'll be onwards to Aldeburgh in smaller groups, hopefully reaching there by 12:00 (ish)

We will park at the North end of town in the Thorpe Road Pay and Display Car Park: MAP LOCATION HERE
We understand the car park is cash only, as per our last Run in 2019

Once there you are you are free to do whatever you like
There are two Fish'n'Chip shops in Aldeburgh both owned by the same people. One is at the South End of town, the other is on the High Street (this one has a restaurant as well). All the shops are open on a Sunday too. The chip shops are rather popular and do have quite a queue sometimes

.....to lead the smaller groups from Stowmarket to Aldeburgh. Mark and I will lead a group each, but we may need a couple more leaders depending on how many cars join us.
The route is really easy to follow on the paper route instructions provided.

I have a TVR Chimaera 450 - the car is quick..... but I am not ! So I hope you wont all leave me behind

love the sound of this, and annoyingly - the Cambridge meet point is less than 20 miles from my doorstep. But i have earmarked this Sunday to catch up on my workplace apprenticeship (wayyy behind and have a review next week..)

Had the new F40 M135i delivered end of July and been itching to have a decent drive in it
