An event for your diary.
On Sunday 29th August between 10am and 2pm we are running our first classic and sports car gathering.
This is at St Mary's church in East Carleton in the grass field at the back of the church.
If you live near by and want to meet like minded car people, dust off your classic or sports car and come and join us. Your welcome to just come and look at the cars and chat to there owners. The village is small and the streets narrow so please take care when driving and parking.
For more info go to www.eastcarletonvillage.co.uk and look at the events page.
Any questions please ask.

Update 16th August 2021.
Due to the number of cars interested in coming I have decided to run a registration list.
Please add yourself to the list and republish. You can, email eastcarletonvillage@gmail.com or use the contact page on www.eastcarletonvillage.co.uk and I will add you to the list.

Thanks.

I think the plan is that you park your classic or sports car in the show - which has space or he wouldn't have posted it smile

Hi Mr Happy
There is a field at the back of the church which has room for about 40-50 cars. We use the area when we run our Open Gardens event as a car park. There is a one way system in at the church drive and out at the other end of the field.

I’m not in East Anglia and it’s a bank holiday weekend so I think my question is still valid.

Cheers. Looks a lovely place to visit for coffee and cake, I’m sure MrsH will be up for it.

If you're just going as a visitor, yes.

Looks like a nice place to visit.

I'll be there with at least a Countach, and maybe something else interesting if my partner decides to come too.

Sorry I can't make your meet, Al. With some already great cars on the list, it's shaping up to be a great day!
Hopefully I can get to a future event as people, cars and cake are always tempting! (I'm more a tea man, though tongue out)

NP Darren. I'm pretty sure the girls will have the tea pot on the go as well as the coffee percolators smile We hope to cater for all tastes.

Cheers

Would love to come and look but don't have anything worth showing so I'd park "somewhere", is there any plan for viewer parking?

Hi Wayoftheflower
Unfortunately we are only a small village. So parking is very limited. This event is more a car meet than a show. There is no plan for viewer parking.
Hope this helps.

Hi woodtype.
The first 11 spaces are all for the East Anglia Lotus Club. There will be a variety of different Lotuses. After all East Carleton is the home of the Lotus family.
Regards
Alan

cool Thanks for the encouraging words IM, the pairing of a Countach and a "Rosso Scuderia" Scenic would be amusing but inconguous and having run the odd meet I know logistics can be serisouly stressful so I'm not about to add to that burden on the organisers.

In reality I should get my lazy behind on a bicycle and cover the 5 miles to East Carleton on my deadly treadly.
