PHEA Run: Hunstanton Pub Run (LUNCH FULL)- Sunday 8th August

Hello everyone,

It gives me great pleasure to announce our next 2021 Run, the Hunstanton Pub Run will take place on Sunday 8th August.
I am extremely happy to say we are able to return to a pub for a tasty lunch!

MEET
We will be meeting at Rougham Lorry Park near Bury St Edmunds at 9:30am for a 10am departure - MAP LINK HERE

LUNCH
Our return pub lunch stop will be at The Olde Windmill Inn, Great Cressingham - MAP LINK HERE
I have booked 30 spaces for a 12:30pm arrival, 1pm sit down.

Please let me know how many spaces for lunch you'd like at the time of signing up for the Run. Thank you.

END
After lunch, we will enjoy more countryside roads onwards to our End Point of Old Hunstanton, up at the Lighthouse car park.
We should be there around 4:30pm, when people are welcome to depart as they wish.

Everyone is welcome no matter what you drive, 2 wheels or 4.
Can't make the whole day? No problem! Simply let me know for which part you will be joining us.
Should you wish to only join us for lunch, that shouldn't be an issue either; just please let me know

COVID-19 NOTE
While the legal government restrictions have now ended, please be mindful of any recommendations or suggestions which may still be in place at the venues we visit.
When outside if you prefer to maintain mask-wearing, social distancing and hand sanitising, please do. Additionally, if you wish for a non-contact greeting please simply say so on the day. This way we will respect each others' wishes and keep everyone feeling safe and comfortable.
We ask that if you feel ill, please do attend the Event.
We also politely request this simple C-19 mention doesn't descend into Covid discussions or arguments across any of the PHEA platforms.

I'm wild camping the night before so want a bit of a lie in! Will meet you lot for lunch and then enjoy the afternoon run.

I've spoken with the pub today and we're at a definite 30 cap for lunch. With a couple of Reserves, if you're availability to attend changes, please get in touch. Thank you :-)

Also, the Pub is maintaining table service so no ordering at the bar for this visit. I've allowed good time for lunch, but this may slow things down a little.

Thanks for organising the car run Darren was great catching up with everyone and using the car for more than commuting.

Thank you to everyone who joined us for our first Run without legal government restrictions.

A day driving with all, chatting and eating a tasty pub lunch as a large group once again was wonderful!
Just a couple of showers in the morning, a lovely lunch and onwards into the afternoon in dry weather until that menacing, extremely dark cloud in North Norfolk.
I've driven PH Runs in most weather conditions, but never through an active lightning storm and rain so heavy the roads flood before our eyes!
I'm glad it cleared before reaching the end point, though.
Then seeing the curtain of rain approach and having the blustery wind whip up, it was a hurried affair saying goodbye to everyone. No more than 50 yards out of the car park and the sideways rain started. It made for a slippery drive back toward Fakenham!
