Does anybody have any concrete knowledge of the abandoned vehicles legislation
On the 12th feb I had a letter hand delivered stating that my car had been reported abondoned .. at the time the car had no tax and mot but was booked to be mot’d the following day .. the letter did ask for me to contact them within 7 days but at the bottom of the letter it said please note that moving the car to public road wasn’t an option unless it was road legal
So I presumed that as long as it was insured taxed and mot’d within the 7 days then it was fine
It was mot’d on the 14th and taxed on the 17th and on the 19th the council took my car and crushed it on the same day
I wasn’t notified it had been taken originally thought it had been stolen
Where do I stand on this issue ?
