Lotus Europa/47
Discussion
I’m thinking about getting a Lotus Europa S2 but I’ve never even sat in one! Is there anybody who has one in the Suffolk, Norfolk or Essex area that has one that I could try? Not to drive but just to see if I could could actually get in ...

Thanks for the offer! Unfortunately I'm looking at the classic Europa. I'm about 5'10, so not sure if it would be that easy to get in and out..
One came to the Cars and Coffee the other month.I'm 6'2 and (you know) a tad wide, but fit in no problem - to my and everyone's surprise!
Getting in and out was pretty easy, too. The shape of the seats and the driving position was spot on

I'm 6' and fit in mine fine now I have reduced the depth of the foam on the seat base. There is a technique to getting in and out made easier if you put a smaller steering wheel on. I would say you will fit with no problems. The pedal box is rather cramped though, you need the correct footwear on.

It's a bit of a wait I know, but there is a guy called Steve Jarvis who always attends the NEC November show with the Sporting Bears in his yellow S2 Else Europa. For a modest donation to charity, he will take you out in it - he also runs a Europa register, so is tremendously knowledgeable.Edited by Bartz1 on Monday 12th August 17:39
