PHEA Meet: SSM - Thursday 11th July
Discussion
Hello everyone.
After a brief hiatus, I am delighted to announce the return of the Social Summer Meet, or SSM for July
We have met with the management who are happy for us to continue our informal meets, but only if we ensure everyone arrives and departs in a restrained manner and the meet isn't subject to great sharing on public social media.
We want to work with the Snetterton management, not wishing to jeopardise their licensing nor the successful working relationship our friendly PHer has with MSV.
So again I ask you to please arrive and depart in an orderly, quiet manner with no excessive revving or noise during our meets. After all, we all want these enjoyable events to continue. Thank you
The SSM will be held the evening after the PHEA Snetterton Track Event on Thursday 11th July
As with previous SSMs, it will take place during the evening track session at the Snetterton Circuit in Norfolk - MAP LINK HERE.
These SSMs are basically an excuse to join your fellow PHers for a good catch up and watch the track action
The creation of these SSMs has been purposely timed with Snetterton's Evening Track Sessions to also encourage some extra folk to head out on this wonderful local circuit. So if you're considering trying it, please do take the opportunity to get out there in the company of your fellow PHers
It helps us justify our SSMs if we have some of you to spectate
Should you wish to get out on track, you can book via the MSV website BOOKING PAGE HERE
BEFORE you do this, a "fasteddys" discount may be available. As this the first SSM is relatively early in the season, the discount will be subject to numbers. To obtain this discount, you must please contact fasteddy through his PH Profile HERE, and then book with MSV over the phone.
The Meet will begin around 4:30pm and end at about 8-8:30pm dependant on daylight, as the track time ends.
I cannot be specific as to our exact location within the pit area, so please look out for any cars with the "fasteddy" stickers and "GEE" on the registration.
Entry to spectate at the circuit is FREE, but obviously track time will incur costs.
Track time is also subject to the usual track day necessities: long leg & sleeve clothing, helmets, signing on, safety briefing and noise testing. Signing on is from 3:30pm, briefing is at 4:30pm.
You are free to arrive and leave whenever you wish, but please adhere to the site speed limits and watch for pedestrians and other cars' movements.
Tyrells Cafe will be open for business.
So please Join us for the return of our SSM
While you can still decide on the day, but if you know for certain you'd like to join us already please add your name to this thread or message me directly so we can keep Snetterton informed, should numbers get large enough
We hope to see you there!
Darren

Our next SSM is happening tomorrow night, so please pop by during the Evening Track Session to say hello, meet up with your fellow local PHers and watch the track action of the evening
As it's after the PHEA Track Event, we'll most likely be near the Archie Scott Brown at the far end of the pit lane.
We hope to see you there!

I'd like to thank everyone who popped down to Snetterton for the return of the SSMs
A good few of you made it long, surprisingly sharing the evening with another group but everyone was well behaved, spending the evening enjoying one another's cars and watching the track action, with a couple of PHers heading out for some evening fun.
Great to see you all and I hope to catch up again for next month's SSM
I'll pop up a link to my snaps once uploaded
