PHEA Meet: SSM - Monday 13th May
Discussion
Good evening everyone.
I am delighted to announce our second Social Summer Meet, or SSM of 2019
This will be held the day after the PHEA Fish'n'Chip Run on Monday 13th May
As with previous SSMs, it will take place during the evening track session at the Snetterton Circuit in Norfolk - MAP LINK HERE.
These SSMs are basically an excuse to join your fellow PHers for a good catch up and watch the track action.
Should you wish to get out on track, you can book via the MSV website BOOKING PAGE HERE
BEFORE you do this, a "fasteddys" discount may be available. As this the first SSM is relatively early in the season, the discount will be subject to numbers. To obtain this discount, you must please contact fasteddy through his PH Profile HERE, and then book with MSV over the phone.
The Meet will begin around 4:30pm and end at about 8-8:30pm dependant on daylight, as the track time ends.
I cannot be specific as to our exact location within the pit area, so please look out for any cars with the "fasteddy" stickers and "GEE" on the registration.
Entry to spectate at the circuit is FREE, but obviously track time will incur costs.
Track time is also subject to the usual track day necessities: long leg & sleeve clothing, helmets, signing on, safety briefing and noise testing. Signing on is from 3:30pm, briefing is at 4:30pm.
You are free to arrive and leave whenever you wish, but please adhere to the site speed limits and watch for pedestrians and other cars' movements.
Tyrells Cafe will be open for business.
So please Join us for the Second SSM of the year
You can decide on the day, but just to help us have an idea of how many to expect, simply add your name to this thread or please message me directly.
You can also sign up to the Event on our Facebook Page.
We hope to see you there!

Hi, I’m thinking of coming along tomorrow but, as it’s the first time, where would I head to? Do I just park in a normal car park and then wander down towards the pits?
Hi Leondrums,You're welcome to come join us later today
We tend to meet beyond the pit area towards Tyrell's Cafe. Just look out for a car with "GEE" on the registraion and a large ginger guy standing near it
Hopefully see you later!

Good afternoon,
Thank you to everyone who joined us for another superb SSM.
Gorgeous weather brought out a good few of you to watch the track action, enjoy the delights of Tyrell's and have a bloody good natter!
It was great to catch up with the regular faces and to welcome some new members to the fold!
Once I've uploaded my few snaps, I'll post a link on the forum thread ??
There is one piece of potentially sad news I need address.
The powers that be for Snetterton have expressed their unease with being the unplanned hosts of our unofficial small meets; their concerns being over potential numbers expressing an interest on the Facebook Page's public shared Event and potential harm to their licensing due to noise pollution.
Of course I completely understand their concerns and plan to meet with management to hopefully come to an arrangement for the future of our SSMs. Until then, however, I will have to put them on hiatus. I'm sorry to you all for the disappointment caused, but I am hopeful for a resolution. Thank you for your continued support ??
Our Next Event is another Meet, our second Norfolk Cars & Coffee of 2019, being held on Sunday 26th May. Details can be FOUND HERE
We hope to see you soon!
