The 'Boadicea Run'
Discussion
Hi Max,
So far I know of the following:
Ultima Can-Am
TVR Griffith 500
TVR Chimaera 450
Noble M12 GTO-3R
Honda CRX
+ 1 don't know.
Full directions are given, but an OS map will help if you have one. Most important of all though is a good navigator. PHers are starting from the back, theory being that you can have a good blat before catching up with the slow stuff. Have a great trip and say hello to the rest of PH Squadron (Boadicea Flight)

The Honda on Ian's list looks like it may be substituted for the better provided the car in question is available that weekend and not in bits. Hopefully we'll then stand more chance of keeping up with those around us without doing my usual ringing the nuts off my motor anyway.
Hi Mike. What you you swap the Rex for?

Its looking unlikely that we will be able to make it now as something has come up
If anybody wants to take our place (for free) - please email me and I'll try and sort it out.
Cheers
Max
Sorry to hear that Max, I'll send some e-mails round and ask anyone interested to contact you direct.

Just to let you know, I have asked to take Maxf's place, he has contacted the oranisors and we are awaiting a decision on whether I can enter or not.
I'm sure there'll be no problem - after all there's a spare place and they're pretty acommodating.

I will also have to find someone to navigate for me.
Yep! Or tack onto the back of the Ultima and try to keep up
Glad you could fill the place and hope you have a good day!

It`s because "The rightous one" isn`t going!
That`s me BTW
For a minute there, I thought you were refering to me.
Easy mistake to make!
Does the Can-Am have a "bung" in the floor-pan? Unfortunately, I think they may need it today to let the water out of the cockpit!
No water to worry about, the only bit of rain we had was when we got back home!
It was great fun, although may turn out to have been an expensive day as I feel I might need some new rear shocks, I have some knocking noise coming from the rear. Service on Wednesday so I guess they'll pick up on it then!
Didn't see any Nobles or Ultimas!

Unfortunately I didn't manage to catch up with any of the other PHer's either. However, I did see a rather lovely white wedge, bedecked in Union Jacks and a Burnt Orange Cerbera.
Great day out and, apart from a chilly start, the weather was superb. Many thanks for putting us in touch with the event, a very good day out.

Well once again the sun shone on the ICENI!
Thank you Simpo for helping to arrange this fabulous day out.
This year we did “Route A” which was split into three sections, start to lunch, lunch to tea and tea to finish. It was at times a very quick run with some stunning scenery. Some of the roads and fords were in poor shape and required caution so as not to ground the car. We only got briefly held up by a 1966 Renault and an ancient but beautiful Riley. We saw a number of TVRs flying in different directions and put one group right even though my trip meter was not working at the very start having decided to stick on 19999!
We saw: -
Justin Bowser Yellow TVR Chimaera 450
Tom Dixon Silver Porsche Boxster
I don’t think Simon made it in the ULTIMA and I am not sure about the rest…
There were two outrageous TUSCAN S cars with stainless steel sports exhausts cans replacing the carbon fibre cans…really noisy with lots of popping and banging! One was reflex violet and green the other a very pale bluey/grey…really nice people!
I also met “SuffolfFox” in his cherry red Cerbera…complete with megaphone rear cans!
There were a number of truly outstanding cars at the run and it was good to see them being used rather than stuck in a garage or museum.
We had a great time and missed many of the local PHers, I am sure you would have enjoyed yourself!

Being well organised... I had neglected to send in my form. But, having spoken to Ian's wife on the phone I emailed my application... unfortunately, I must have got the email address wrong as I had no reply.
Anyway, as it was down to my own stupidity, I thought I would try and find the event. But, after an hour and a half of driving around Bury, I did come across a single car on the run. Where did it start from???
So, I decided to go to Lavenham for lunch and saw everyone coming through.... maybe next year.
Rgds, Elliott
