Should I scrap my VR6
Discussion
Great idea Darren and if I had the space and time i'd definitely consider it... but I have the Chimaera and the MGB in the garage, with a pending body off on the Chimaera, B needing masses of work, and two other cars (including the Golf) sitting outside.... I think restoring the Golf is a nono for me, needs some spannering but nothing major, but it needs some bodywork which frankly I'm crap at
Just my thoughts, but don't spend money on the vr6.
If the mgb is bad, sell it for as much as you can, and then spend all you have on the TVR as that will be money well spent. I had one, fantastic car to own and drive.
The TVR can only go upwards.
The MG parts will be reasonable to buy, but as I am sure you will know, you can quickly reach the value of the car if lots of work is required.
Chims are starting to rise quite well at the moment.
Good luck and enjoy the TVR..... I wish I had never sold mine... Oh well.

Thanks for that, what you say is pretty much what I'm doing.... Coming up for my eighth year with the TVR, it's fairly heavily modified and I track it every now and then, even took it up the strip at the Pod which was a real hoot If the mgb is bad, sell it for as much as you can, and then spend all you have on the TVR as that will be money well spent. If you are going to scrap, try selling it first, someone else may be looking for a project.
Was hoping a local PH'er and Dub fan might see this and get in touch.... Definitely a good project car, was hoping to avoid flea bay by posting here in EA forum, but yes advertising is the next step.....Gassing Station | East Anglia | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
