.... THE "BUCKET AND SPADE RAID"
Targets: Hunstanton and Sandringham on and near the picturesque Norfolk coast. A good blast with lovely scenery and destinations
Dates: Probably 17th April, but with a reserve of 24th April in case of poor weather. If interested, please try to allow for both dates in your diary if you can.
If enough interest is shown, I will get to work on details such as RV times, suitable car parks, picnic, food & watering holes and will also include a main RV so that PHers from all points north, south, east & west can join up for a megahoon together up to Hunstanton - so please get back to me on this thread if you want to join in.
I will also pre-warn my Auntie (who lives in Hunstanton) that she might get visited for afternoon cream tea by a load of loud brutish monsters - along with their sports cars
A couple of sites to view: www.hunstanton.net and www.sandringhamestate.co.uk
You`ll be pleased to know (if you don`t yet) this forum/region now has its own website at www.phea.co.uk and this will show all events and shows relevant to our area as a back up for the PHEA forum.
Here`s a film of one we did earlier (12mb).Right click link and "save target as" to download:
www.foxesmeadow.com/EAPHerhoonmedium.wmv
PLEASE NOTE: THIS OUTING WILL TAKE THE PLACE OF THE USUAL "FLYING FORTRESS" GATHERING FOR APRIL.

new to tvr, if someone comes along, are they made to feel welcome if on their own or are they pushed out of the regular clique?
Well, you do have to go through the initiation ceremony, locked in stocks and pelted with rotten tomatoes, but after that, Ian will talk to you. He's the one with his trouser leg rolled up, PH pinny and a funny handshake.
You will be made very welcome

Actually Peter, looking at some of the dodgy characters on this list so far, you may not want to be welcomed by them - but you will be whether you like it or not
As I’ve already told John earlier in the week I’ve a new arrival on its way in the form of a De Tomaso.
The car is currently in a 20’ container somewhere in the Pacific on its way from Oz.
Provided it hasn’t either fallen off or dissolved completely I am planning this as one of its first outings of the new Deauville.
The old 993 always felt a bit ill at ease with all the Blackpool Rock. Hopefully the new mixture of Modena and Detroit might spice up the East Anglian Pistonheads team more than the old air cooled charger did
I look foward to talking all things American V8 with Dax I think I might be in need of it pretty soon!

Zippee - I`ll keep you informed, 17th not possible then? Is that Olympic or Cosmos blue?
Nope, away to the Peaks with my Dad for the weekend, hopefully good weather to enjoy some of the countries best roads.
Mines Cosmos blue (I think) One of the fastest colours according to many on the TVR forums!!

May or may not be in my Griff', will I still be welcome in my 1927 Vauxhall ? and will I be the laughing stock & two barrels of pi55 take or welcome
Given the nature of the gang, it's probably more interesting than yet another TVR But you may not keep up in convoys !!
Fear not Crankedup, I`m sure NeilMac will put my name forward to head the convoy - thus keeping the speed down to a more manageable velocity!!
Yep convoy running with Tiv's and Nobles aint wot an ole Vauxhall is built for Still as long as I know the meet up points I will arrive eventually I spose.
Must remember when driving it 'throttle in middle and brake on right!! gear shift on right as well, apparently, looking to buy it next week. Told it should cruise at 40mph!! a bit of adjustment may be required in my driving technique.

I'd like to come along - also my first EA meet. That's if another TVR isn't too boring.
