PHEA MEET: SSM - Wednesday 17th August
Discussion
Afternoon everyone.
Rolling on to our next Event of the Summer, I ca announce another superb SSM (Social Summer Meet) which will be held on Wednesday 17th August
It will take place during a evening track session at Snetterton Circuit in Norfolk - MAP LINK HERE.
It's simply an excuse to get out in our cars on a summer evening to join your fellow PHers for a good catch up and watch the track action, and perhaps even get out on track yourself!
Once again, our very own fasteddys has organised a group discount, subject to numbers.
To get this discount, you must first contact fasteddys through his profile HERE to obtain a code which you must quote to MSV upon booking. It is therefore recommended you telephone to book your place
General information and online booking can be found on the MSV Website HERE..
The Meet will begin around 4:30pm and end at about 8-8:30pm, as the track time ends.
I cannot be specific as to our exact location, so please look out for the "fasteddy" truck and my blue RS4 with "GEE" on the registration.
Entry to spectate at the circuit is FREE, but obviously track time will incur costs.
Track time is also subject to usual track day necessities: long leg & sleeve clothing, helmets, signing on, safety briefing and noise testing. Signing on is from 3:30pm, briefing is at 4:30pm.
You are free to arrive and leave whenever you wish, but please adhere to the site speed limits and watch for pedestrians and other cars' movements.
Tyrells Cafe will be open for business.
So please Join us for another super SSM
You can decide on the day, but just to help us have an idea of how many to expect, simply add your name to this thread or please message me directly. You can also sign up to the Event Page on our Facebook Page.
I hope to see you there

Would go but problem for me is literally the times, I'd need to leave work around 2pm sadly.
3.30 sign on
4.30 briefing
5.30 sighting laps
Unless they're happy to do a separate briefing for late arrivals, I've done several MSV track days and used various others companies + tracked Snetterton few times. Maybe will ring tomorrow and explain my situation to see if they'll give me a briefing around 5ish and if late let me take a Marshall around for a sighting lap as it's probably some H&S ruling thats required.

Thanks Eddy,
I started work 4.45am, about to head off back home from the office (thankfully only 5 minute drive) and grab some lunch so I'd be in the timescales now anyway. Just need to see how I feel in terms of tiredness and change my summer driver OZ wheels to some semi-slicks and venture over.
Just had a CAE shifter fitted on Friday and hybrid turbo fitted to my Mk3 Megane so would like to give it a good test as haven't been around Snetterton anyway since early April.

So have you booked? If not, I have just spoken and there are a couple of spaces left although others may take those before you get there of course. You will have to pay at the venue on arrival ok. Thank you to everyone who turned out for another fantastic Meet last Wednesday.
So many of you dropped by on a gorgeous weekday evening. I think I said at least "Hello" to you all, but apologies if I did miss you. Hopefully that is something to remedy at the next one!
Such a wonderful array of cars on display yet again and it was super to see you all again!
A hugely enjoyable way to spend a summer's evening!
Once uploaded, I'll post a link to my photos.
Next up is Lavenham Rare Breeds Roadshow THIS Sunday, 28th August, for which I have a couple of spaces at the time of writing.
After that is Classic and Sports Cars by the Lake on Sunday 4th September, the FINAL Roadshow of 2016!
Hopefully see you again soon!
