PHEA MEET: Social Summer Meet (SSM) - Wednesday 20th April
Discussion
Morning everyone.
Next up in the 2016 Calendar sees in our NEW format of summer evening meets, the Social Summer Meet, or SSM.
It will take place during a evening track session at Snetterton Circuit in Norfolk - MAP LINK HERE.
It will be an excuse to join your fellow PHer for a good catch up, watch the track action and even get on track. Booking for track time will have to be done in advance through MSV's own website.
To book, please CLICK HERE.
The Meet will begin around 4:30pm and end at about 8-8:30pm, as the track time ends.
I cannot be specific as to our exact location, so please look out for one of my cars with "GEE" on the registration, or fasteddy's big white truck with red "Fast Eddy" logos on the side.
Entry to spectate at the circuit is FREE, but obviously track time will incur costs.
Track time is also subject to usual track day necessities: long leg & sleeve clothing, helmets, signing on, safety briefing and noise testing. Signing on is from 3:30pm, briefing is at 4:30pm.
You are free to arrive and leave whenever you wish, but please adhere to the site speed limits and watch for pedestrians and other cars' movements.
Tyrells Cafe will be open for business.
So please Join us for the first of our New format SSM for 2016
You can decide on the day, but just to help us have an idea of how many to expect, simply add your name to this thread or please message me directly. You can also sign up to the Event Page on our Facebook Page.
We look forward to seeing you
Darren

I thought the summer Wednesdays at Snetterton had been cancelled? It's on my way home from work so should pop up for a few of them this year, I'll try and make myself known
They have. However MSV are still running track evenings on wednesdays throughout the summer. Spectating at trackdays is free and there is nothing to stop you wandering around in the car park and talking to anyone who might be there...

Thank you to everyone who turned out for our first SSM.
We had around 20 of us turn up to chat, munch food, watch some track action and also go out on the circuit.
Dry, sunny but cold, I thoroughly enjoyed the evening with you all.
My usual flitting around meant plenty of enjoyable conversation, however not many photos. I will post my meagre photographic efforts in due course
I apologise that I even managed to miss a few of you, something I hope rectify at a future Event
Hopefully see you all again soon.

Well I was my usual antisocial self and the Carlton was unwashed......
I'll make up for it with some carpy track action pics
Link to the album - http://s108.photobucket.com/user/Bstardchild/libra...
So limited shots of some however it appears that Fast Eddy's thingy got papped a lot
Halloween
Yes I know you can't even tell what car it is but there was a moon in the sky and I kinda framed the picture in my mind and it turned out rubbish - you get to see my rubbish and my occasional average shots
Clipping the apex
Wanted a pit lane shot - climbed a load of stairs but Eddy was shy
Always good if the vehicle speed doesn't change rapidly during the panning
Anyone for chess or chequers
This took my fancy 560 kgs - close to 180 bhp - Proper dry sumped twink and full fat carbs - HTFCTNBF
Yellow however seems to be tricky to snap - so I tried orange
OK another orange
Ribenna
Citrus overload
Pretty sure non matching wheels means slicks front and treaded tyres rear
Long travel suspension
Earlier snap (treads all round)
Plate is one for the carpy thread (so side on seems best)
Oh yeah back to those stairs
Oh god oh god what the heck am I doing
Lovely lovely wheels - and I made them all blurry......
And again
It takes seconds to change the camera settings but I need my glasses.....
