Hi all,

The wife and I are thinking about relocating from Kent to East Anglia as both her sisters live that way.

We've spotted a house for sale in North End, Snetterton that seems to tick most of the boxes but have no knowledge of that particular area.

So, good? Bad? Indifferent?

You may well hear the A11 and Snetterton at that location. Wouldn't bother many, but worth a mention.

The Shropham/Hargham road to the north of North End is very good (but can a bit of a cut through for local traffic) and gives easy access to the A11. This in turn offers great access north and south.
Attleborough and Thetford would offer all your daily needs and rail transport. Norwich is easily 30 minutes or less outside of rush hour, offering up everything else.

Snetterton, North End and neighbouring Shropham appear devoid of any pub or post office/shop.
Nearest pubs are in Great Hockham and Larling, plus a resturant/bar and additional pub by the Attleborough roundabout.
When passing through, I've noticed a gym in Shropham.

I'm sure others could give more details, as I only generally know the area smile

Good or bad? Depends what you're after.
It's a small, rural hamlet with great road links to everywhere you may need to go for daily provisions.
I would say a car is pretty much essential, but then being PH we would always say that driving

Good luck with your search thumbup

Darren

Thanks for the answers so far.

The lack of shops/pub and the possibility of it being a rat run are the downsides.

It does have a double garage with a cinema room and plenty of parking though.

Having spent 3 years using this route to work and back, it is a cut through as said before but not used by that many.

Gym in Shropham is Amazon and a very good gym it is if that's your sort of thing.

Not so much now as a local pig farmer killed himself after video footage showed his stockman beating up the pigs.

OP if you do move near to Snetts do not even think of complaining of the noise like a couple who live about 5 miles away do.

Noise from Snetterton wouldn't be a problem. I spent most of my childhood at race circuits.
