Audi Garage in Norwich that isn't Robinsons?
Discussion
Clive Atthowe Tuning in Sprowston know their onions when it comes to VAG stuff.
We have our annual PHEA Rolling Road Day with them.
They are tuning specialists, but should be able to help. If not, they are likely to know who can.
THEIR WEBSITE HERE
There is the VAG specialist Yelverton Garage on the A146 between Loddon and Norwich.

I've never used them though, nor know anyone that has, so I therefore cannot comment on their service or if they are good with more specialised S models.

I've used Yelverton in the past and I must admit I haven't been massively impressed.
I visited Clive Atthowe a few months ago regarding a possible rolling road test and tune up and he did his very best to make it sound like the most tedious job in the world. A lot of sucking on teeth and saying as the car is four-wheel drive it's a pain to strap down; it's an old car so seems a bit pointless; it won't make a difference to the performance etc. Does he want paying customers or not?! All I wanted was a tune to keep the thing running well.
Basically is there a garage in or close to the city that you'd recommend?

I might give them a try, they're not too far away. Thanks.
I've heard nothing but good things about Clive so I was surprised by his attitude.
I appreciate I wasn't asking for nor expecting to end up with a 500hp monster but all the same, at be polite when telling a customer that you're not interested in doing the work.

I can see his point..... No offence intended I would have thought a new set of plugs, an oil change and an air filter would be the best tune up you could give it if it needs any of those things I visited Clive Atthowe a few months ago regarding a possible rolling road test and tune up and he did his very best to make it sound like the most tedious job in the world. Totally agree - but it's the manner in which you tell the customer you're not interested that matters. Anyway...abitlikefiennes said:
Hi - can anyone recommend an Audi-orientated garage in Norwich? I need the cam sensor replaced on a D2 S8. It isn't a huge job but one I can't do myself.
Thanks.
ooh, a fellow S8 D2 owner, and in norwich Thanks.
I can recommend http://www.vasautospecialistcentre.co.uk/ for that kind of work. I had them replace the cambelt and do a few other jobs at the same time. they have all the specialist tools needed (maybe not necessary in your case) and the next time i need a major job doing i wont hesitate to take it back there.
before i gave them the job, i visited them and checked them out. very knowledgeable mechanics
and for giggles, here's a photo of mine taken a couple of months ago!

I took my RS6 to the PH rolling Road day and Clive didnt mention anything about the quattro causing problems strapping it down. I wouldnt intentionally use any Robinson's owned garage. However Darren seemingly loves them and they love him

For me, they've rarely put a foot wrong and when they have, it's been noticed, admitted and rectified without any fuss or additional personal expense. Can't say fairer than that.I know plenty of people who have the complete opposite to say, so maybe that's why they love me

I wouldnt intentionally use any Robinson's owned garage due to many previous bad experiences on their VW, Merc and Audi dealerships.Know quite a few in the same boat. However Darren seemingly loves them and they love him
Because it was an old car and I didn't want a lot done he was doing his best to say 'You're wasting my time and your money'.I wouldnt intentionally use any Robinson's owned garage due to many previous bad experiences on their VW, Merc and Audi dealerships.Know quite a few in the same boat.
