I read in the EDP that the city council is backing a plan to introduce 10mph and 20mph limits throughout the city to cut congestion. You can read about it at the EDPs' website here.

What are they thinking? 10mph on 33 stretches of road and 20mph on a further 20 (including Prince of Wales Road where I rarely get much above 20 anyway with the pedestrian crossings every 50m or so which always seem to be on red when I approach)

The awful rush hour congestion I often experience around the riverside/carrow road area certainly wouldn't be helped in anyway by this.
Any idea which other major routes would be affected?

Another great plan by some numpty. Not a problem when it is busy, but a right PITA when there is no one around. Can't believe that imposing punitive speed limits will help congestion??????????????!!

Simple. All the businesses in the city centre will move away.

No business
No reason to enter the city
No traffic

Even liberals need someone to persecute, pity it's the ordinary people.
