PHEA MEET: Rolling Road Day - Sat 21st March
Discussion
Hi guys,
Most of you know that I organise a RR event with Darren for us every year.
Leaving it a bit later this year as we have had snow a couple of times, but hopefully with the global warming we are apparently causing with our cars we should be ok.
Date is looking like Saturday 28th March from 08.30
It is £36 for 2 runs. AFR is monitored and you get a printout of the best power run.
As usual, Rebecca and I will be providing hot and cold snacks and drinks.
The system is you commit on here by a list, you arrive on the day and sign on/pay and you are given a number that will be your turn. It is not possible to prebook a time. We have had people in past years who have to get away by a certain time and this can be accommodated by mutual agreement by everyone else. This has worked fine in the past as we are all grown ups aren't we lol. All I can say is if you do not want to wait too long get there early as for sure a few of us (no names) will not be there first thing although he is getting better.
We need 20 cars to make this happen so please don't leave it till the last minute as it may mean it cannot happen then
So the list
Eddy - Smart Brabus or new kit car
Rebecca - MX5
Darren - Merc

Hmmm that's the day before the first Toyota Sprint Series event at Snetterton, the first outing of the GT86 Cosworth!
It would be good to know how much the little beastie makes :-)
Put me down.
Eddy - Smart Brabus or new kit car
Rebecca - MX5
Darren - Merc
360 - Lp560 or maybe something else!
Jed - MG Midget
Mike - GT86 Cossie

Grrrrrrrrrrr... I'll be taxing my R5GTT from April Fool's Day. If ever there
was an argument for vehicle tax to start mid-month now, this is one...
Regards,
Steve
Sorry Steve, I wanted to do early April, but Darren said someone else has an event then and it would be to close. I wonder whose event that would be was an argument for vehicle tax to start mid-month now, this is one...

Steve
If the 5 is finished have the company that have been doing it have trade plates or a trailer and could help you get it up to Norwich

Nice. Is it ok to come down and see the cars and meet the local PH'rs? Just moved to Suffolk and it would good to get know folks from the area.
Also, I ran my car on a RR few months ago, so no need to run it again but I will bring it along - assuming no snow ;-)
Absolutely fine! I don't normally participate but my car is non-standard now so I'm curious. Also, I ran my car on a RR few months ago, so no need to run it again but I will bring it along - assuming no snow ;-)
Hi Eddy,
I'd want to do some running-in first, just to check it's all
bedded down nicely. I'll postpone until next year, no stress...
I'll probably come along to spectate, there's plenty of ooooohs
and aaaaahhhhs to participate in
Regards,
Steve

Yeah, but I think it would be too soon after the engine rebuild.I'd want to do some running-in first, just to check it's all
