Evening all.
The 'Goat' household are off to Trimingham on Saturday for a few days away.
I know Sheringham and Cromer very well but does anyone have any local knowledge of the more rural areas around Trimingham, North walsham and the broads.
Ideally looking for days out with wife, 15 yr old boy, dogs, fishing rods and kayak !!
With nice restaurants thrown in too !!
Not too much to ask is it ??
Any suggestions are welcome........... Cheers
( Oh.... picking up new toy for the wife on the way home..... NO... not that sort !!!! )

You'll have just missed the Cromer Carnival which incidentally had a good car show last Sunday. I'm not up to speed with what is going to happen next week but here are two restaurants you may want to try.
http://www.whitehorseoverstrand.co.uk/
and
http://www.seamargehotel.co.uk/
The last one has an early doors special of 2 meals for £12. Menu is a bit limited though.
Also people occasionally beach cast off the promenade at Overstrand but you probably couldn't launch your kayak unless you can carry it 40 meters down and back up a steep road.
I think there is a launching point at or near Trimingham but you would have to make enquiries locally.
Also, a group of us once hired a boat at Wroxham which was very cheap if you went out early on a Sunday morning.
If the weather turns grotty, there is a 10 pin bowling alley at North Walsham, called Strikers
