Chaps
I'm looking for a location for a photo shoot which combines the following:
- Allows cars to be brought onto the beach or, if not, immediately adjacent to it, without tarmac.
- The sea is visible from the point at which the cars are parked
- It's sufficiently remote to allow a fire to be lit by the cars after dark (camp fire type thing)
Anywhere from Clacton to Yarmouth would be good. Doesn't have to be a sandy beach, but if it's shingle, it'd be good to have some sand context, e.g. dunes.
Whaddayaknow?

Can't help, but do let me know if you have any success.
I bet you're going to have a lot of issues with getting a beach to allow you to have a fire.
Out of curiosity what are you doing exactly?
It's for a fashion shoot. Want to grab a few daylight beach shots and then have a load of snaps of a 'beach party' style gathering: young people, cars, the clothes(!) etc.I bet you're going to have a lot of issues with getting a beach to allow you to have a fire.

I wasn't planning on going down the 'allowed' route re the camp fire; more the 'getting away with'

How about West Runton ?
You can get right down to the beach ( or could last time I went....about 2 years ago )
A bit stony before the sand.
This is as far as the Google camera-car got. I guess it may be possible to drive round that cone after hours You can get right down to the beach ( or could last time I went....about 2 years ago )

That's a good site! I was actually thinking about the boat launch into the Stour estuary at Wrabness, in fact.
Car-wise... probably a couple of old Beemers with angel eyes or a low-slung Passat
Have got a couple of potential contacts... certainly something the owner doesn't mind people sitting on the bonnet of!
