What do I get now?
Discussion
So recently I completely binned my Smart Roadster, so while I'm waiting for the insurance to eventually cough up I have time to think of what to buy next.
So here's my current list:
Smart Roadster coupe, brabus coupe or RCR edition
Nissan Figaro
Renault Wind
Triumph Spitfire MK3
Rules are it must be small, fun to drive, quirky, rare, have an engine smaller than 1.4l, good looking and less than 8k to buy. Any good suggestions are welcome as my mind is open.

I went out in a Renault wind once and I have to say I found it a slightly harrowing experience.
I was in the passenger's seat only, the car wasn't being driven fast, but I found the interior just plain nasty and the proportions of the car look totally wrong to me - it is tall and narrow, not low and wide like a sporty car should be!
I'm curious about the 1.4l restriction - any reason?

How about a Suzuki cappuchino, Honda beat or Daihatsu copen ?? Or, if you can find a good one, a Toyota sera ?
Thought about the Suzuki, I'd look like a total twerp in a Copen and while I love the cockpit design of the Sera, I don't really like the front styling that much.chris.mapey said:
How about a Mk1 MX5? Dirt cheap and great fun... (Granted its a 1.6 not 1.4 but now eligible for classic ins!)
Problem with the MX5 is I share similar opinions of it with Chris Harris in that it's just far too common for me, granted its cheap but it's almost a daily sight too.small, yes
fun to drive, yes

have an engine smaller than 1.4l, yes

Buy one whilst you are looking around, and then feel free to flog it again when you've bought that turbo nutter kit car a few posts above ;-)
