I thought we could pool our local knowledge and list some of our favourite roads specifically in our area.

B1116 Wickham Market to Fram followed by B1119 to Rendham. Twisty, lightly trafficked

There's a road that goes from woodbridge/Melton into Rendlsham forest that's quite fun to drive on. Plenty of straights, twists and nice Heath/forest scenery although its not the most smooth road in the country so lighter cars like my smart roadster do bounce a little at high speed.

I might be biased because that's the road I traveled to school as a kid but what a boring road, you need to be doing really license losing speeds to make it even half way interesting!

On the other hand the B1145 is a great road in north west Norfolk, I always enjoy the ph run outs that head that way. I'm also a big fan of the norwich - saxlingham - hempnall road, but its also a favourite with cyclists so caution is advised!

The B1108 Norwich/Watton road is a good drive but it's pretty narrow.

Licence losing speeds eh..... The 1066 is fairly awesome. My favourite road at the moment. Any excuse to take the weapon and drive that road.

the B1119 continues to be good from Saxmundham to Leiston. We do that bit on the Fish and Chip Run smile

Yes, one of my favourites.

Another is the B184 towards Saffron Walden to Great Dunmow, cracking bit of road.

The Alston road is a great one from Newcastle to Penrith. When you get there, you also have the Lake District roads to play with.

They're not very local though are they.

Apologies, I'd missed the East Anglia bit when I read.

B1145 between North Walsham and Aylsham, fairly light traffic with some nice sweeping bends and nice countryside scenery.

Do you mean the small bend as you come out of Felmingham heading towards Banningham or the very sharp bend next to the skeyton junction?

Err.... this one.

Don't think I've ever been behind someone that hasn't bumped it wink

oh yeah that one, it's a bit catch 22, don't go wide enough you may clip it, go too far wide you'll end up on the other side of the carriageway. I think i have caught it once or twice. It's a bit of a bummer.
