On a rare drive these days from Norwich to Bungay on Saturday evening around 8pm spotted what I assume was a speed trap right at the very end of the Poringland 30 limit catching people who start accelerating after they've left the village but not the speed limit.

Completely pointless initiative in terms of road safety but at night with police car tucked away out of sight must have been pretty lucrative. I'm not even sure if they were using hi vis vests, all I saw was the red batons being waved to direct the victims off road...

Hopefully the car front flashing oncoming drivers was representative and hit the profits a little but worth being aware of.

They really should put them mid village. For the people that find the prospect of getting over 45 on an open A road too terrifying but have the confidence to persist at 45 through a built up area wink

My girlfriend lives in Poringland, almost every time I drive out of the village in the mornings towards Norwich I see someone set off the speed camera outside the school.

It's not hard to miss!
