A big thank you to anyone who has donated to the Typhoon Haiyan appeal currently being run by the Filipino people in Suffolk.
We had a fund raiser in Kesgrave, Ipswich last night, the response was overwhelming to a point where we couldn't accept any more bags, as the container we'd booked was well over capacity. People ended up taking bags of clothes home and sorting through them in order to sell and raise cash for, or send at a later date.
5 and a half grand (cash) was raised, every penny going to the victims, and it will NOT be going via the govt, but to Church organisations administered by Priests throughout the area.
Many thanks to all who donated, made the effort and took the time to come and participate, deepest apologies for those we couldn't accommodate.
Now...not being one to moan, we did actually find a Sex toy in one of the bags that were left for donation...If it is yours, feel free to claim it via PM.
