I live in Bournemouth on the south coast and have a baby so struggling to find the spare time to travel over half the country on the word of a dealer after the last couple I have travelled far to see.

Any help really appreciated

At a dealer ? Not many dealers in Necton shall we say.

It's doable yes no problem. Send me a link and what you want me to check etc an I'll go have a nose. FYI I'm no mechanic though.
