A monthly meet in North Norfolk

I started a thread back in August suggesting that a monthly meeting of car enthusiasts mainly, but not exclusively, in north Norfolk, would be a good idea during the long winter months. It would give us an opportunity to talk about all things motoring, exchange ideas and information, organise social functions, and perhaps even plan trips for 2014.

At the time several people said they would be interested in doing this, so I have booked the beautiful Sea Marge hotel in Overstrand, just to the east of Cromer for the first meeting.

The date will be October 29th, 2013 at 8pm.

Food and drink are available in the bar which is probably where we'll be. Check out the menu for the Clement Scott bar on their website.

It's easy to spot. Just drive down the high street in overstrand and you'll see it on the left. It's massive! If you drive off the cliff at the end of the road, you've gone too far!

The high street is not the main coast road. If, coming from Cromer, you fork left just after the garage; that is the high street and the hotel is about 300yds down on the left after the pub.

I'll get there a bit early and if you just ask at the bar, they will direct you to the right corner.

The first meeting of the North Norfolk car club on Tuesday, the 29th of October achieved what it set out to do and a bit more. Much talk of cars, routes driven, good or bad garages, complaining about roads and in some cases bad drivers – all the things that PHers normally do. A few ideas were thrown out should the club take off in the future.

The next venue and date will be at 8:00pm Wednesday, 27th November at the Bluebell Inn, North Walsham
