Police car - Lotus Evora?

Driving up to Norwich today from Attleborough around 2 o'clock, came up behind a police Range Rover towing a trailor with what I'm pretty sure was a Lotus Evora on it. The Evora was fully loaded with all the Police stuff you see on the more normal patrol cars, stickers etc saying Police, plus the roof mounted police flashing light stuff! It pulled off at the Wymondham turn off, so pretty obvious where it was going.... It would be resonable to assume that the A11 BiB now have a 'supercar' in their armourary... Why they would need such a vehicle I have no idea, and I've never seen the like before... I would have thought if they needed a super quick car for pursuit an Evo or similar (maybe a GTR) would have been far more practical...

Me thinks its more promotional, Am fairly sure it was on a police stand at the royal Norfolk show or may have been Suffolk show or both.

Hmm, I got replies on general gassing saying it's promotional, but what is it promoting?? Seems an awful lot of tax payers money for a promotion??

More to do with talking all sorts with the public at shows makes people look and go and chat and the police can then push out what ever is subject of the week for them, helps engage youngsters if you have a nice car on the stand. I think (not sure) the car was supplied and still owned by Lotus anyway. Suffolk even have a Police Tractor ! Very big!! Same sort of thing and not owned by them.
