I Thank you...

Hello folks.
I would like to openly thank all of you for turning up to the Stowmarket show today.
I know that we had a few 'hiccoughs' at the beginning (understatement of the week ) but we got there in the end.. Thank you for your patience.. ( unlike the twunt that assaulted me with his car because he couldn't get to morrisons... He will regret it )
I sincerely hope that you enjoyed the day.
As far as I can gather, most people did.
This is the first time that this has been done and so any constructive criticism is welcome...
Again.... THANK YOU... It wouldn't have been the same without you....
p.s. Mike.... I promise never to call you Chris again...oh and Shaun, I still owe you
Best wishes, David.........

I had a great day Digger, really nice to see so many different vehicles. The 917 recreation looked fantastic (I'll have one for the road please, the long tail version ) and the V12 E type with manual box must be rare. Chris' Skyline is another on my want list! And the Dax Cobra! Looking forward to next years event...
Great day with well behaved and enthusiastic crowds. All in a marvellous cause for "Walking for the wounded" and i would guess a lot of money was raised.Good prize giving and thankyou speech from one of the "wounded" who is going with Prince Harry to the Antartic.
Well done to Andrew and the team for this first event and shame on this Pistonhead site for removing the original thread on this very worthwhile and fun event.
Roll on next year and a trouble free and even better show.

Thanks for all your kind words... and again, I thank you all.
Approximately £ 1800-00 has been raised so far to go directly to 'Walking with the wounded'.
Andrew and Sharon also send their heartfelt thanks for your efforts..
SO..................Anyone up for next year ?????
(also, thank you Mr Gee for your kind help...I owe you bacon rolls too ...)

I didn't manage to get to the show, but the general consensus in work was that people found the show by accident and didn't know it was on. One chap was even chatting to a member of staff in a shop in the high street and even she didn't know it was on...
The only poster I saw was in Morrisons. Perhaps a few posted on road junctions like the Helmingham Hall show ones might have got an even better response.
Glad it was a success though
