Builder recommendations
Discussion
Our Suffolk thatched cottage, which we are currently selling, has thrown up a problem with damp issues. We need to get this fixed properly, we don't want to 'cover it up'. Any recommendations please from personal experience for builders able to provide a good job for sensible rates?
I know what is causing the damp issue, concrete floors in kitchen and dining room pushing the underfloor damp to wall perimeter. The wall is sucking up the moisture, we need the concrete floors removed and replaced with limecrete or suspended floors installed.

There are quite a few damp specialists, they will probably inject walls and replace plaster, if the floor is damp aswell and it is a screed, you could break up screed and re-lay on fresh damp proof membrane.
Many damp problems are the result of leaking rainwater goods, either way it should be easy to cure..
