Tyre disposal site
Discussion
Race circuits are increasingly strict imposing the policy of 'take home your old race tyres'. Big fines if you leave a few at circuits and get caught out.
With an increasingly high pile of slicks gathering at home where exactly is the nearest disposal point? Garages won't take them, tyre fitters at race circuits won't take them even if they fit new replacements.
Short of using them as raised beds or dumping in the countryside is out of bounds.

Thanks for replies, even some good humour Kettering it is by looks of it, nothing near us at all. The tyres are of course Matts used race tyres, he said he will move some onto the guys who enjoy track days and they are perfectly fine for that. On the other hand he has a stock in the garage ten feet high and years old, no way would they go for re-use
The Swallow has gone now so must update profile.

All of Norfolk's main recycling centres will take up to 5 tyres per month.
They won't take agricultural/industrial tyres, but they don't mention slicks.

It's a pain getting rid of old tyres on a good day but my local Norfolk recycling place does take them I've never reached the a 5 per month but they weren't totally happy when I dropped 4 off at once after a track day...... will have to bookmark that link and print it out for next timeThey won't take agricultural/industrial tyres, but they don't mention slicks.
