So who was the idiot that didn`t have enough fuel to complete the run today and had to divert to a fuel stop once the orange "fuel low" light was on permantly! Yes, it was me

Hence I`m first to post this thread

I`ve put some pics on my new website www.foxesmeadow.com (look in photo gallery) if you`d like to see.

Thanks to John for organising the Phers, and to Steve and Sue for acting as my "navigator" for the part I did - oh and for coming to get me when I went the wrong way

Big thanks to NickP who did manage to organise a Jaguar jet for some pics Nice one! Hope you enjoyed Gussies bacon buttie!

Thanks Ian. You probably did better with no navigator than I did with one!

Diary of Simpo's day:
Started event
Got stuck behind some MGs
Got lost
Picked up route again
Stopped at air museum
Got lost
Picked up route again
Got stuck behind some MGs
Stopped for a beer
Got stuck behind some MGs
Got lost
Lost the plot completely
Thought 'arse!' and bugged out

But I did get some pix... what's that red Russian thing?

Sounds similer, except I HAD to bug out before I conked out!!

The "Russian thing" was one of two prototypes (think I heard this correctly) made for a Norwich Union insurance advert - the other one was crashed for the ad!! Don`t remember the ad though

Do you know how we will get the Jaguar jet/car pics? It did cross my mind they might hand them out to those that finished!

Yes, it was a red T350 - he went earlier than the other TVRs, some of which had to bail out early due to fuel starvation or simply got lost by the sound of it!

John,
Aah...that's the Mirov 2. As already mentioned it was built with another for some NU adverts on the telly. Something about investment...
The guy asked to buy one and was told no, then discovered that the other had been sold and asked again. One was a runner and one was a static, I think he bought the static and made it into a well engineered bit of kit!!
There's a Ford V6 in the back with hammer and sickle on the rocker covers! Did you get a close look at it?

We had a good look at it while having a beer in a village enroute - had you already got lost by then?!

Almost certainly. But then we were trying to do it the hard way and not just stooge round following the car in front
Pub wasn't that one at the T-junction was it? It was just after that we got terminally lost. Navigator did down his pint with relish and say he could manage a few more (though if he had we'd still be in bloody Norfolk!)

There was a point where the car in front was following the car in front was following the car...you get the idea....and we all followed (someone) down a dead end and all had to turn round and start again!
