Can anoyone recommend a company that will refurb with diamond cut faces (my S2000 has some rather tatty rims due to my appalling parking skills)?

I've emailed a couple of companies but seem to have had no one come back?

Lepsons are apparently the best in the country, but they're based down in kent so might not be much use!

Bruce at BA Wheels just off Heigham Street has recently bought a machine to allow him to diamond cut wheels now.

Have used him many times for wheel repairs and can vouch for him although not since he has this new bit of kit....

Cheers for the info guys, I've know people that have had bad experiences with some mobile firms and I don't know anyone who has had cutting done before. I'll get in touch with the recommended shortly - wait until the snow has gone first I think!

Is a durable paint finish the same sort of cost, or cheaper/more expensive?

£45-55 a wheel, depending on size/finish/colour but significantly quicker. I can do matt finishes and the bright chrome look you see on newer Volvo's, even colours like the new Civics with a slight grey tint to them, all no Its good enough for my own car and I use strong acid occasionally, the finish is like the day I painted them.

I had a set of MB AMG diamond cut alloy wheels powder-coated grey and lacquered to match the car. Much more durable finish, easier to clean and maintain. I paid £75.00/wheel, but am very fussy about the quality of the finish! wink

Diamond cut alloys are a nightmare in the winter. frown

This is a photo of one of them before powder-coating: -

Handy to know, my S2000 wheels are in a sorry state but a job for a few months time after I stop paying so many pennies on extension and kitchen stuff!

I'd be interested to find out how you get on with this. I have a set of sorry looking diamond cut Golf alloys that I plan to get refurbed at some point but wasnt sure if any local places specialise in this.

I'm also looking for a wheel refurb place, preferably in Hertfordshire or fairly nearby. Has anyone got any recommendations for quality of the job/price?

Cheers
