RAF Coltishall this weekend - pic question.

Just a thought - could anyone fix it (perhaps NickP?)for the PHers attending on Sunday to have their P&Js photographed with Jaguars (the jets!!) in the background? Or will security etc prevent it?

cant do i'm afraid...the jets are tucked up nice and safe over the weekends....however, there is a Jaguar mounted outside the main gate that will make for a good photo opportunity...

We have a departure of 11:30 for our lot and we have to be there about an hour before, so hopefully see you there around 10:30 - if the weather isn`t terrible

There must be about 240 cars coming to this - but most must be MGs I assume. Where will they all go at Coltishall? Nick, if the wife doesn`t come with me, you can come in as my "passenger" if you like and have her bacon buttie!! - if she does, you can fight for it!

if there is that many cars i presume that they will go onto the base and meet somewhere....have you been issued with any sort of car pass????? or directions to meet somewhere???

Yes, we have an entry thingy but all it says is 'Please arrange to arrive 45 minutes prior to your start time - bacon butties - might get car searched by RAF Police.' So I shall simply head for the front gate about 10.30.

ok.....i'll pitch up at about 1030...by the way, as you are coming onto the base then another good photy opportunity is just inside the main gate at the roundabout .....a nice Hurricane in Battle of
Britain colours right outside SHQ........in fact I'll get there a little earlier and meet you so I can sort you out some photos

Looks like we might just have a "window" of reasonable weather for this according to the forecast I`ve seen so bring your cameras
