Evening all. wavey
I have an elderly good friend of the family, who has managed to scrape the side of his almost new BMW on a wall. Nothing too major apparently, although I haven't actually seen it. Main dealer have apparently quoted around £500. Before they go down that route, they asked me if I had any thoughts. I was a little reluctant to recommend anyone as thankfully it's been a while since I've needed a bodyshop and in the past I've found the quality to be quite inconsistent in those that I have used on more than one occasion. Knowing my luck, I'll send them somewhere and they'll get a crap job. Also, I wasn't sure what impact if any, a non main dealer repair would have on the anti-perforation/corrosion warranty. Any ideas, or are you all as reluctant as me?!! hehe

Stu,

Dont let it put you off but Gareth at Kidman Mobile Paintshop would be the person I recommend to have a look.Give him a call on 07539 232320.

Does some amazing stuff given that he is mobile......better than a lot of larger 'stationary' body shops.

Cheers Kev. Funnily enough, I nearly dropped you a text about this earlier. smile
I suppose I could ask him about the warranty side of things.

Thanks Kev. I've now got not one, but two elderly relatives in two different hospitals, but will try and follow it up in the early part of next week. Either way, it's always good to know who's good! smile

Thanks Gareth, they are really pleased with the work and you saved them a worthwhile amount of money compared to what the main dealer had quoted them. I'll be getting you to correct my little parking error on the A8 as soon as time allows! smile
