....air show. Just a reminder that the usual gathering at The Flying Fortress last Sunday of the month will not be happening because we are moving it to a week earlier in order to be at the Rougham air show down the road on the 22nd, this Sunday.

Anyone not booked into it already (for free) can still come on the day though Might also be worth checking with PHRoadshow to see if you could still be added as a late entry

*coff* Indeedy Mr Beech, entries are free but it will help avoid punch-ups at the gate if you let me know. That's 'cos I'm Mr Fixit, see! If you want something organised properly, I is your man.

Oops, I appear to have been drinking!

So it was Sunday just gone, bit late letting everyone know isn't it?

You`ve either misread it or I haven`t explained it very well The Flying Fortress gathering would normally have been on the 29th (last Sunday of the month) but as Rougham is so close (geographically and date wise) it was "adjudged" better on this occasion to combine them. I hope that`s clear!

Though of course (and just to confuse you) if anyone wants to go to the FF for a beer on the 29th they can, since informality is the thing that makes PH 'EA' different

Hi Phil,

Didn`t know you are going! We had originally organised meeting up at the Tescos by the Hardwick Roundabout with Chris Prior but he is now playing a round of golf first and is going to meet us down there (not sure if his wife is coming - Gussie is)

The planned time to be at Rougham is around 10am so we will need to be leaving K/Lynn area about 9am. We can meet you at the Sportmans pub but I`m not 100% sure I know that one on the A10 - just give me a rough idea where it is and we will see you there around 9-9:15

Edited to add - I`ve found The Sportmans - go past it almost everyday!! Just south of Hardwick Roundabout on A10 with the "famous carvery" apparently See you there! There will also be another Chim meeting us as well.

Hope Neil Mac doesn`t read your comments about keeping up with me!! It`ll probably be me keeping up with you!

Yes indeed, the PH Squadron (actually more like two squadrons )will be assembling over the airfield at 10.00hrs.

Please bring the special PH pass with you: the marshals will instantly know where to direct you and avoid any confusion.

If you're not down but would like to come, there's still room: please mail me for more info and a pass.

Anyone else (like me) coming from the Bury St Edmonds direction via Cambridge looking to meet up for a mini-convoy?

I was potentially travelling from Framlingham but I'm coming from the West now.

Sorry about that - not with it today. What I wanted to ask is - what time and where are you meeting? Will it be at crack of dawn?!

Not knowing Bury myself where would be a good place? I'll coming along the A14 from Cambs.

Probably for about 9:30-9:45am I should imagine if arrival time for the event is 10am.

Hello, there is a big Tescos on main route thru Bury, nr. big roundabout after dual carriageway, so that would probably be good place for you to meet. I think that will be too early for me. Don't think they are strict on arrival time tho at that show.

Actually I might do that, drive further along to Stowmarket then come back in convoy.

Where's the Tesco's in Stowmarket?

PS. Tony, replied to your email, but how about we all meet up with the others above?

well, according to tecos it's here:

www.multimap.com/clients/browse.cgi?client=tesco1&local=&GridE=606445&GridN=258327&dist=1.2

so, what if we meet there at 9.30 ? allowing for waiting till 9.40ish that'll get us there for 10ish

John, does that sound ok ? Arriving in concoy would be cool. Not been in cnvoy before.

Would need to leave at 9.40 on the dot to get to rougham on time though, so we would need to leave at 9.40... no waiting another 5 mins, etc, etc.

Our "squadronette" is coming down from Kings Lynn and we should be entering Rougham from the north side (past The Flying Fortess) around 10 so is there a suitable place near the airfield entrance to use a "holding pattern" so we can meet up with your "squadron" before entering?
