HI all - not been around for a while as been busy with building and other hobbies etc.

To cut a long story short as they say, I sold my Griff about 18 months ago then missed found for sale at Fernhurst's then went and bought it back. In the time that it was sold a new 218 Kent cam was fitted but unfortunately ut hasn't been set up right with the Mark Adams Tornado chip . It cuts out at low revs when it gets warm, so you pull up to the pub and take four goes a reversing into the space as it keeps stalling on me, so you need to give it some beans to stop it from stalling while reversing.
As you can imagine I look a right prat as I'm messing about in the car park !

So does anybody know of a competent garage that could solve this problem, bearing in mind I don't want it set to factory default as this is what Kerridges have offered, in the colchester area.

Anyway nice to be back and look forward to catching up.

Best guy I have found for setting up cars is Mat Smith at Downham Market. www.matsmithsportscars.co.uk. Probably worth the trip. Phone him first to discuss.

I'd say Mark Adams would be your first port of call - after all if a car has been fitted with one of his chips, he will remap to cater for subsequent mods/different conditions for a nominal fee. That is, if (and TBH it is a big 'if') this indeed is your problem

A Kent 218 strikes me as a bit mild for a 500, at least rather more so than the TVR 435 cam that was originally in there...
