Hi guys, on Sunday 29th July I've organised a meet/cruise heading for Sheringham/Cromer then we're taking the North Norfolk coastal road to Heacham for late lunch. I'm struggling to find a suitable location for us all to park-up, stretch our legs and to have a drink, about 11ish. I've got about 8-9 Ferraris, 3x Lambos, 1x amv8 and a few 911's going so no high speed bumps please- any help is appreciated, cheers John.

Two possibles I can think of - there is a lovely pub in the square in the centre of Wells (don't know its name), and the Victoria at Holkham is lovely, and you can walk down to the beach.

I think you must mean either The Crown or The Globe Inn on the Wells Square - MAP LINK HERE.

I certainly agree with the Victoria, too. It's right on the main road ad has it's own car park. I have taken my father's DB9 there, so no problem with clearance smile

The main pub in Burnham Market may be worth a look in, especially as the owner is reportedly a car enthusiast.

A drink The Blakeney Hotel is worth a look. Their own car does have warnings of parking under the trees and there are a couple of speed humps, however just across the road is the main Blakeney Quay car park, which will cost extra. The views from the hotel's bar windows are great, though.

I've not been there, but The Ship Hotel at Brancaster is right on the coast road and has it's own car park.

Finally, there is a small coffee shop in Thornham which has lovely coffee and cake. This place is probably too close to your final destination, though.

Wherever you decide to go, you may have an issue with parking at all the suggestions if it's a lovely day. Such is the nature of that area of Norfolk!

HTH.
Enjoy your day thumbup

Thanks for the feedback guys! Somewhere nearer Cromer/sheringham would be cool- by then we would have been driving for just over an hour- don't care about scenic location, practicality is the most important thing- thanks john

Ah! I misread that as you would be starting Sheringham/Cromer way, hence I was picking stuff around the mid-point.

Unfortunately there are slimmer pickings around that area, however the first one which springs to mind is the Village Inn in West Runton - MAP LINK HERE.

I haven't been there for about a year, but last time I was there it had an oldy-world feel and if there weather is good, plenty of seating outside.
The car park (seen to the West of the building) is decent, too.

Also in West Runton is the Links Park Hotel. I know they have just had a refit, so best to double check they still have a bar in which to drink, but that was a pleasant place in the past - CLICK HERE for a Map.
Again, decent car park here.

Next, I have thought of a place called The Dun Cow, just to the West of Sheringham in place named Salthouse.
MAP LINK HERE.
Again, plenty of outside space overlooking the marshes, and a lovely feel inside.
Just worthy of note, although not relevent for this occasion, is that they offer very tastey food all day.
Parking is taken care of by the Green you see to the east of the pub. It is a little bumpy in a couple of places, however (as with the aforementioned Victoria), I have parked my father's car on there many times without issue.

I hope these suggestions are better located smile

You haven't really *organised* it then, have you ? - in spite of the fact that you're charging people to participate in your event.

These meets/cruises don't organise themselves!- and I don't charge people- they give a donation if they want to, and that goes to the Prader Willi Syndrome Association which is the condition my daughter has, have a good life! John.

Well I think the last one was excellently organised and I was happy to make a donation, I really can't see what your problem is?

See you on Sunday on John!

Yeah, fancy using an internet forum to ask for advice from like minded folk. Have you not visited every pub car park in the county as part of your research?

And as for raising money for charity, well that just downright selfish.

Hope you have a good day, cracking weather for it! Be lovely to see a few pics afterwards.

Dry, apart for a few spots, until the last hour. Electric rooves on the Italian and German machinery were going up and down like automated brides' nighties. The TVR one stayed off until it both bucketed down AND we got stuck in traffic. It was a select crew......plus a TVR and a Lotus Esprit! Lovely drive and a lot of fun, and we went through all the coastal towns, not around them, so the holidaymakers got a treat they weren't expecting,. and for free.

This was taken at the drinks halt near Cromer

Hi, great day- a bit wet at the end! We had 3 gallardo spiders, 2 430 spider, 2 355 spiders, 1 355 gts, 1 360, 1 911 4s cabrio, 1 911 turbo, 1 Tvr and a lotus esprit. Great bunch of people- down sheringham high street was a bit of a show- stopper as was wells sea front. Brilliant atmosphere off everyone waving and sticking their thumbs up. Good tip on the village inn guys, we will use again next time we're out that way- they even helped Marshall us out on the main road to keep us all together. Thanks for posting the pic Antony! I forgot to take some! Cheers John
