Hi all,

I am looking for some swimming tuition. I can swim but just not terribly well ie I am inefficient.

I am thinking of signing up to a triathlon with my brother in law to be, and have the running and cycling side of things licked, relatively speaking. Just looking for some one on one lessons to help me make the most of a 1.2 mile swim.

Norwich area preferably, but can be further afield.

Any suggestions?

Serious suggestion.

Get on youtube for pointers, then practice. I halved my pool times (starting from scratch) just by taking in informations from youtube clips and trying to put it into practice.

Keep your face, face down, (this will help stop you dragging your legs) turn your head to breathe, not your body, into the gap in your arm pit.

Then work on getting your breathing right. I breathe every three strokes both sides, some like to breathe one side only, but the advantage of being able to do both would be helpful on an open water swim where you may be struggling with waves/wind from a particular direction, so at least you're getting one breath every six strokes lol!

My 6 year old daughter is going to her last swimming class tonight - school finishes for the term Friday! She picks up her 5M, 10M & 15M badges tonight.

Don't know your age but think its very, very important that everyone should be able to swim,

Not knocking you dude but,,,,,,,,,,,,

Nice bloke I'll get the missus to ask for any pointers!

Hope that helps!

No, you misunderstand me, I can swim! Just not very well hehe definitely not triathlon well!

I need to improve rather than learn the basics.

Any way wife now is back from daughters lessons!

His name is Matt on 07738 383496.

No harm in giving him a call and telling him your requirements and he could point you in the right direction eh?

Best of luck!
