I suspect they had plans for it before taking it, VW Transporters are quite sought after, and I bet it's got new plates, wheels and a different colour already.

I told him to phone around all the local paint shops and ask if they had one booked in.

Not only is it his van, but it affects his business too, no tools, transport or materials, insurance will take ages to sort out i'd suspect?

But if anyone sees one, please let me know.

Recently, I've seen a number of these vans with a matt black wrap.

Maybe a call to one of the professionals for their take on it, i.e. the local back street market, I'm thinking perhaps those with the relevant skills,

perhaps an ex-employee who has set up on their own who is possibly unscrupulous. Certain trades are often close knit commumities.

Provided the bodywork is unblemished, I'd say it would be far easier to wrap than respray.

Hope you get a result anyway.

Sorry hope this isn't off-topic(advertising) but it's listed here too:

www.facebook.com/itsbeenstolen

The idea is to 'share' the update so people in YOUR(OP's) area see it and if they notice it to comment or call the police - and subscribe to updates.

What's the attraction? It's just a van after all. Hope it turns up.
