Hit the starter motor with a sturdy bit of wood, as hammer can damage it.
Or find some friends old enough (45+) and get them to help you bump start it (2nd gear).

If it won't bump start, it might well be the immobiliser.

wavey Hello didn't realise you were so close Long Stratton here. Anyways excalibur springs to mind http://www.excaliburautoelectrics.co.uk/contact.ht... Failing that a friend of mine Mark (stampy) works at Sas on stratton industrial estate and he is very good when it comes to electrics.

Agree give Nick at Excalibur a ring he knows his stuff, and you can even talk cars as he sorts it.

Possibly ignition switch.
Fairly inexpensive if it is.
The immobiliser usually allows the car to turn over and start, then cuts out after a couple of seconds.
Also if it is the ignition switch you can push/bump start the car.
