I've just recently bought an ex-show car that needs a bit of work doing to her. Does anyone know of a body shop in norfolk that can fill and vinyl wrap the whole car at a reasonable price. I was looking at a respray, but from what I've heard, ST orange doesn't come cheap.

Aye, I saw that earlier today. I was recommended to go to Duncan McCleary in Swaffham. But I've heard mixed opinions of his work. Debating whether to do the bodywork myself and just get it wrapped at a later date.

So, are you looking for someone to wrap the car in vinyl and someone to do the bodywork? Or someone to do both.

IMHO, it'll be hard to find a company that can handle both. I know companies that do either.

Main issue of wrapping a car will be the surface the vinyl goes onto. If the surface is rough, it'll show up on the wrap.
Also, if you have fresh paint, becareful if you are going to put a wrap over the top. If you ever want to remove the vinyl, if the paint prep wasn't done well, it'll lift off with the film.

There are a few bodyshops that have a good reputation on here, East Bilney is one and I have regularly used Norfolk Premier Coachworks..

Not sure what you have been quoted but a friend wanted his Jag XKR wrapped and the quote was around the 1200 mark (its a convertible and he wanted matt white). I'd have thought a full quality respray would be double that.

Good luck though and let us know what and who you choose.

Idealy I was looking for someone that can both do the bodywork and the wrap. Just makes the admin a lot easier, was looking at getting it done whilst I'm away in singapore as well, so having one person do it all means that I wont have to get family to pick up/drop it off from place to place. The whole of the paintwork isn't really in that bad a condition, just worried that if I patch up the bodywork and repray the filler that I'll end up with a Polka-dot effect. Especially since Orange fades like anything.

I'll just have to have a look around I guess

My bro DJ Spray Services can do body and paint work, and we do wraps, done loads of race reps and vehicles where he does his bit, and we do our bit, works well, the only other place that can handle both in one yard is Roy Humphreys, but we hear a lot of horror stories about their graphics service sign right plus or similar.
