Rougham Air Display 2004, Sunday 22 August
Discussion
Rougham Air Display is an established event and a great day out for anyone who likes cars, planes and the odd tank or two. Rougham, near Bury St Edmunds, was a USAF base in WW2 and the original control tower is now an atmospheric museum and tribute to those times.
This is a nice show with quality air displays where you can get right up to the flight line for a decent view. Naturally there will be plenty of interesting and classic cars, as well as stalls and other attractions, so there's plenty to see for all.
The PH Roadshow will have a stand there, and entry is FREE if you have a suitable car for display.
The photos below were taken at least year's show. If you'd like to join the party all you need to do is send me your car make and registration number.
Hope to see you there!

Is there a bit of a show and shine or is it just a straight forward display?
Both! The cars are on display too, for the admiring public to - er - admire. You can stay with the cars or wander off and see the other attractions, whatever you like: the whole thing's free (apart from the beer tent).

what is a suitable car for display? a clasic?
Fair Q. They don't have to be classics in the accepted sense; my interpretation for these kind of events is anything significantly unusual, fast, rare, expensive, exciting - something that's not ordinary and that the public would be interested to see.
Sounds like a great event, lots of interest for all sorts.
How many cars to do expect to have on the stand ?
I wouldn't mind bringing the GTO 3R and I'll check to see if my mate will bring the Exige.
Without sounding too offish. How close can the public get to our pride and joys - envy can be a horrible thing in the wrong hands if you know what I mean !

Your e-mail says it's invalid... may need to reset your account. The public can walk amongst the cars but in 7 years of attending shows I've never had anuy problems. There's usually someone from the stand keeping tabs anyway. Or you can guard it with a pitchfork if you like!

Two more here for Rougham show - one Noble and one Exige.
What are the arrangements about entry times etc.
As this is my first time at a regional event do I look for a PH banner or a large heap of empty beer cans to park next to !
Hi Wryka,
Excellent news and we look forward to welcoming you on board
YHM!
