Attempted horse theft last night.

Following the theft of a lot of horse equipment a few weeks ago from Warpole St Peter including, blankets, food buckets, electric fence energizer, wires and a bucket of treats; they returned last night to take the fence (again), gates, and attempted to take the horse. Luckily the Cobb in question is very well trained and managed to get away.

It has been suggested that members of the traveling community based in Hay Green, Terrington St Clement may have been responsible for the first thefts as they had items for sale that matched the items stolen. This was not enough evidence for the Police to proceed and we expect a similar response from them this time around.

I was thinking of fitting the new gates with Imobichips. So they can be traced if they get stolen (welding the feckers on though).

The travelers site got robbed last night so whoever it is they are certainly tenacious.

Apparently another stable had their gate taken a few days ago and million and a half Pounds worth of retired race horse was let loose. The owner of the horse has put a price on their heads so if anyone tries to sell you a set of gates or takes to your local scrappy they come with a free st storm if the owners find out.
