I am starting the road to become a football coach in my spare time. I am due to take my level 1 in April and level 2 within the next 12 months.

If there are any youth teams (U-7 up to U-16) looking for any help, please let me know as I would love to gain some experience and get involved.

I am based in Lowestoft but don't mind a little travel.

Thanks,

Tom

Hi Tom, Both my Children are involved in youth football in fact one of them was playing in Lowerstoft at the weekend.

If you look on the Norfolk / Suffolk FA website and click through to teams etc you can find direct contacts for all team managers often with email addresses etc.

Nearly all the age ranges for both girls and boys have a big selection of teams so you could probably find a team around the age that you would rather coach.

Good luck Im sure you can find a team,

As for the Level 1 and 2 I think nearly all the youth coaches will just have Level 1, obvioulsy no bad thing having as much as possible though.

If your a younger guy it may be best to start younger age groups, In many ways you are a teacher and a green one going into a class of 15 year olds might be hard !

Getting in at U7, U8,U9 etc its great to actually see the teams improving year on year.

Look up a website foot4kids.co.uk and subscribe to the newsletter, some really good tips and advise come out of there.

You will need CRB checking so getting things in place now you should be all good to go for the start of next season.
