As everyone is looking for builders and the like, I am looking for a company to overhaul my Aga and convert to electric...anyone got any recomendations?

Also my grey Fergie tractor could do with the attentions of a local expert!

Where are you based?

I went to school with this guy 30 years ago....and he has been doing AGA stuff for quite some time, so he does know his stuff.

I saw his van in Norwich the other day, so he is obviously happy to travel.

Another recommendation for David Pointer.

We've used them for the past 8 years and always found them efficient, knowledgable and well priced.

What about DIY? I'm currently stripping down a Rayburn. It's a pretty steep learning curve but a lot cheaper than paying an expert!

Oh, and what sort of TLC does the Fergie need?

Hit a bit of a brick wall on the Aga. The recommended expert is unable to provide a written quote that matches what he says. Very disappointed with his attitude. Not really tempted to try it myself, it need s a lot of work. Going to have to look a bit further afield.
The grey Fergie is just a toy. I learnt to drive on one as a kid and am hoping my son will do the same on this. Hoping to find an expert to set up the whole tractor. It's a 1947 model and I have done a lot of repairs. Having some difficulty with the American carb...suspect some wear inside it somewhere?

Hey, Its one of David Pointer's engineers. just seen your post in Feb and wondered whether it was ourselves who's quote had not matched the details given? If it was I would love the opportunity to correct our problem if that would help in any way? We've been doing a lot trials on Electric conversions over the last few months and have quite a bit of info on them.
Even if advise is all you require, would love the chance to help if poss.
