I do not have time for project threads so do my updates in bulk.

Firstly, the Stagea 260RS has gone to Sweden. It was a lovely car, but a big old lump. Scott is 4 now so no buggies, changing bags etc needed in the boot.

Treated myself to something with luxury, exclusivity and economy and fairly quick to replace it.

Brabus edition Smart Forfour. 1.5 turbo Mitsubishi engine with 174hp and only 1090kg, all the bells and wistles like leather interior, heated seats etc. 0-60 in 6.9
I have modified the airbox that was restrictive and fitted a Pipercross panel filter. It will go on the rollers soon to see what it has got.

I have fitted another ramp in the workshop. A clever single post job as not quite enough room for another 2 poster

This enables me to do some longer term projects/conversions and still do smaller day to day jobs.

The Pulsar is finished for now. Total reshell and loom change with all new suspension, polybushes, brakes, clutch, recon gearbox, transfer box, recon std engine, wheels/tyres etc

With my bespoke induction and exhaust mods on std turbo/boost it makes 269bhp on Atthowes rollers. Should be 300bhp plus at 15psi

The Metro has had a pair of old VVC exhast cams modified and fitted to my engine. Just 0.3mm extra lift and a bit more duration. Please with the resulting increase in power and importantly torque from £50 worth of cams. Now 153bhp and 128 ft/lb

I did not mind the bodywork having a few imperfections to add the element of surprise on trackdays, but it had bodywork tidied up for the recent charity day.

The bike engined kit car was sorted as it had been off the road a while when we bought it. Emmense fun on the road and ok on the trackday we took it on this year, but still prefer the Metro as an all weather track car so it will be up for sale.

Thanks for reading

Eddy

Why don't the torque and BHP curves cross at 5252RPM?

No. The torque and power curves MUST cross at 5252rpm. Remember bhp is only a function of torque and revs...

And they would if they were both on the same scale. If you look at 5252rpm they're both at 190 on their respective scales

Had the Brabus on the rollers today after giving it a service, fitting a panel filter and modifying the airbox/breather system.

Standard is meant to be 174bhp so very happy with 11bhp over stock. A remap would see 200bhp+, but i will leave it at this for now i think as it drives really nice.

Yes, you could try Steve at Emperial, but they do not do much performance stuff anymore. Those boxes are fairly rare now as they are used for alot of auto to manual conversions.
I will keep my eye out for one though mate.
