So has anyone got any suggestions how I can earn a few quid from my Noble, taking the groom to the wedding? Me thinks this may well be a non starter!
Nothing involving it getting thrashed please!,

You will need to change your insurance and likely have third party liability cover. Probably makes it a non starter as the Noble doesnt really lend itself to wedding outfits!

maybe not weddings but proms are getting a lot more common so might be worth checking out.

Proms would be good, as the car will appeal to that group. Still need to get proper cover

Does the groom need a special car these days? I thought the groom had to wait at the church with the best man so a car wasn't strictly necessary.

Alternatively the transport (normally a pickup, Landie or van also used to transport squealing piggies) is arranged by the shotgun wielding, straw chewing family of the bride; who are normally shared with the groom. Or have I been living in East Anglia too long?

Lots of competition out there, its a bloody minefield. First starting out I would first ask your insurer if they will provide cover for the occasion you have a booking for. Most classic policies offer cover for such events for around 10/15 pounds extra on your premium for an ad-hoc one day event. It saves lashing out big bucks for what may only be half a dozen first year bookings. Certainly you will need personal / public liability cover. Check that your local Council do not require that you need to register with them, along with all the other red tape they may come into play. Also consider that if your car should breakdown in any way 'on the day' make sure you have a standby arrangement you can bring into play.
My personal view is that your Noble, a mighty fine car, will not be suited to the hire market, although you may pick up a few jobs. Best of luck anyway.
