Need a nice hotel in Norfolk - last minute getaway
Discussion
I have the chance of a night away with the OH on thursday - movie / meal / hotel etc etc. Very rare for us both to be at home together, let alone child-free.
Any suggestions for a nice hotel in north norfolk. we will be travelling from Lincs via Kings Lynn if that helps. Just want somewhere with a really nice room - something way above the usual Premier Inn / Travelodge standards. Price is not a massive issue, as long as the place is right.

Not sure if this place is posh enough but the rooms are huge and has lovely balconies and is the best 'Best Western' I have stayed at. Every time I visit family in Kings Lynn I stay here.

Beechwood Hotel in North Walsham http://www.beechwood-hotel.co.uk/, not the cheapest but excellent food and customer service. If you book a room with the 4 poster and slipper bath etc then it adds to the sense of occasion.
Definitely recommend.
edited to add..... bit feckin late now!

Bit late I admit, but I have heard the Blakeney hotel is very nice.

It's very nice, but so popular, you would be lucky to get a last minute bookingLinky: http://www.blakeney-hotel.co.uk/home
Byfords in Holt all day long - it's delightful.
Hoste Arms is too pretensious and often full of wkers.
Oh yes, and how could I forget St. Giles House in Norwich city - subject of a TV series after a 6 million pound rebuild. I stayed there once and it was very good indeed.
ETA - just seen I'm probably about two months too late - oh well, might help someone else
