Does anybody know of a place you can hire a car trailer or small transporter for a day in the Lowestoft/Norwich erea? Or anybody have one that would lend or help me out with for about 2-3 hours, obviously in exchange for beer tokens?

Thanks in advance.

Derek Fiske who are based in Diss hire out small self drive car transporters for 90 pounds daily inc. Or a car transport trailer for 40 pounds daily, problem with the trailer it is big and you need a transit size tow vehicle or large 4x4. Tel : 01379 644239. They are a good Company and I have used their transporters several times over the years.

may be worth asking if 6they have the transporter available just for a afternoon perhaps.

Thanks, thinking it might be better to maybe get a professional with car a transporter to come collect it instead if anybody has any suggestions. Thanks.

check any trailer you hire.

mate of mine hired a trailer 10 years ago, wheel bearing seized, sent his car into the path of an oncoming buss & killed his mate who was in the passenger seat. He lost his spleen. trailer hire company got done.

just a word of caution.

It's a cerbera, got to get it from Lowestoft to Scole engineering, the problem is it's not running so can't drive it on. As for when, whenever Scole is open.

I went along to Scole Saturday last, wanted to book my daily hack in for front window mechanism to be fixed. Garage was closed when I arrived at about 11.00am, most unusual. Ended up getting the car repaired elsewhere, Lindsay Flaxmer in Eye, first rate job for a very reasonable fee, they even gave me a courtesy car for the day! I noticed that they had a Chim' up on the ramps, so they are obviously trusted it seems.

I rang them Monday and all seemed fine but I'll keep the other garage in mind incase I have no luck with scole. Quiet odd tho for them to be closed, Cheers.

And thanks Jamie for filling me with confidencehehe
