Hi Folks,

As title really. We bought an E46 M3 a couple of weeks ago, it has 75k on the clock. Looking in the service book, it's had the running in service, and regular oil services, but hasn't had an inspection 1 or 2 since 45k. The engine all sounds fine, I had it checked over by BMW before buying, and it was also serviced, but for peace of mind would like to have an inspection 2 carried out on her.

I'm based in Great Yarmouth, but am happy to travel to Norwich/Ipst and surrounding areas. I'm aware that the main stealers are massively overpriced, and service quality is a lottery, so am hoping some fine people off here can enlighten me as to where would be the best indy so go to for such a service. I'm not particlarly bothered about the cheapest, but the best place to go.

Vulcan in Norwich seems the closest, but have never used them.

Please enlighten me with your wisdom! Many thanks, and see you on the 25th smile

Love,

Churchy.

Micky Landamore is a good indy!

Works on all my cars over the years.

He is in the airport industrial estate just off Fifers Lane, Norwich.

Just follow the road all the way around and he is on the left!

Herring & Palmer - I get my work done there as they are BMW specialists and one of them is a friend.

Whilst you have it in for service get them to check the indicators...they often appear to be faulty?

Cheers guys. I'll check the above places out. My main concern was somewhere that has experience of shimming the valves, as well as knowing the other requirements of an inspection service, and specialist parts like the vanos etc....

Thanks for the help, I'll give them a call and have a chat.

Any more for any more? I've also been recommended Hemingstone Garage. Anyone has any experience? I was hoping about 20 people all saying the same garage, but I've had about 6 different garages thrown at me lol!

Stop worrying and book it in! It's an inspection service, not open heart surgery, I'm sure you'll be fine! hehe
