PH help reqd - Anyone in Lincolnshire want some beer tokens?
Discussion
Hi East Anglians,
I have been trying to find a new car, and as a result of these threads ( http://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?h=0&a... , http://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?h=0&a... ) I narrowed my search down to a couple of cars that seemed good.
The first a PHer went to see today on my behalf (the generosity of PHers never fails to amaze me ), and it was nice enough so I decided pretty much then to buy it. http://www.mdmmotorgroup.co.uk/used-cars/peugeot-4... . That all changed with an HPi check on the car tonight came back as CAT D. No mention of that in the ad, or in 3 separate conversations with the dealer. I can't help but think what else might they be hiding?
So I'm onto the second one, which can be viewed in Peterborough or Spalding. I'm in Glasgow, so it's a bit of a trek...

As with all adverts and sellers, they aren't always as good in the metal as on paper though. At least I know this one isn't stolen/ scrapped/ etc before going to see it. History looks solid, and the car is well specced. It looks as though there are some stone chips, flaking wheel paint, and some sort of paint mark(?) on the rear drivers quarter. I'm not worried about age related bodywork marks, but not too fussed on ugly/ costly accident damage that I would need to get repaired.
I know it's a big ask, but is there anyone near to it in Lincolnshire who wouldn't mind dropping in to see the car for a quick nosey around it/ start up/ drive in exchange for the generic PH currency of beer tokens please?
If so, I'll call the trader tomorrow
Cheers
